Sangisetty Pledges to Turn Down Congressional Perks

Wonʼt accept taxpayer-funded healthcare or pension, wonʼt raise own pay

“The taxpayers are funding bailouts, golden parachutes, pay raises and Cadillac health plans for career politicians.”

HOUMA, La. — Ravi Sangisetty, Democratic nominee for Congress in Louisianaʼs Third District, pledged to turn down Congressional perks.

“The taxpayers are funding bailouts, golden parachutes, pay raises and Cadillac health plans for career politicians,” Sangisetty said. “Iʼm different. I wonʼt take taxpayer funded healthcare or retirement. I wonʼt become a lobbyist after I leave, and Iʼll never vote to raise my own pay.”

Sangisetty said South Louisiana needs representatives to get the job done and come home. Ravi Sangisetty is a pro-life, pro-gun conservative Democrat. He has raised over a half a million dollars. Ravi is a business attorney in Terrebonne Parish, where he lives with his wife Sarah.
